Roy and Ruth Klein
Roy Klein, together with his parents and siblings, moved east from South Dakota in l935. They purchased the farm with some help from local family members during those Depression Days. Life was hard, but soon Roy found love with a local girl, Ruth Mengel, and they married September19, l943.
This past spring ('06) we lost Roy after he broke his leg and had surgery repairing the damage. It was too much for him and he passed away
April 23. Together the family all helps to take care of Ruth, who is doing well, and still living in the main farmhouse. We miss our beloved "Pappy" very much. |
