Northampton County Open Gate Farm Tour
October 4 & 5, 2008

The Northampton County Cooperative Extension Association and the farmers of Northampton County invite you to visit them at the Open Gate Farm Tour on Saturday & Sunday, Oct. 4 & 5 from noon – 4:00 p.m. We hope that you and your family will find the visits interesting and fun. The purpose of these tours is for you to get a better understanding of our agricultural neighbors in the county. Many tour sites have farm produce and fall decorations for sale. Supporting your local farmer supports our local economy.

Klein Farms is pleased to be participating in this tour. This weekend celebrates the relationship of Farm owners to their rural/city neighbors. Education is a big part of this weekend, and fun will be had by all attending. Hayrides to the pumpkin patch begin this weekend, starting noon on both days until 4pm. Dick Saylors Blue Grass Band plays from the barn floor Sunday afternoon, and tours around the barn and creamery will be lead on both days. The Hayride is free, as is a walk thru our Corn Maze. Visit with all the farm animals, and sample our raw milk, yogurts, and cheeses. Store hours during this event will remain 7am-7pm.

More information will be available on this page the beginning of September.
