MEET THE ANIMALS

Buddy the Beagle

Buddy is the newest addition to the Klein Family. Jake bought Buddy when he was just 8 weeks old. Buddy enjoys sleeping on the couch, playing with everything he's not supposed to and burying pig ears in the couch cushions and under the blankets. (but don't tell him you know where his bones are!!)

Since Buddy is a puppy, and a beagle; he really doesn't like to listen to anyone but Jake, his daddy. He really enjoys playing with Buster. They roll and play tug-of-war with anything they can get their mouths on to. Buddy's girlfriend is Becky & Ryan's dog, Elie. They play with a lot of energy all over the farm.

When you visit, ask to meet this new addition to our farm family. He's cute and loveable!!

Elise the Sheep

Elise came to farm from a neighbor who could not properly care for her any longer. She is a good sheep who justs like to mind her own business, munch on the food that the farm gives her and greet visitors from afar. She is one who definitely appreciates her privacy.

Krazy Karl the Goat

Krazy Karl got his name because...well..he's crazy. Karl came to us from a family who couldn't keep him anymore. He was not tamed as a baby, so he is hard to get close to in the pen and is leery around people. Karl loves Ricky the emu though. They are best of friends and enjoy playing together in the orchard.

Lord Sheepington and Countess Henrietta

Lord Sheepington is the older of the two sheep we have on the farm. He lives with the goats, the emu and Countess Henrietta, a local chicken. Lord Sheepington enjoys eating hay and socializing with the goats. He also likes to eat the apples that fall of the trees in the fall. Countess Henrietta enjoys riding on Lord Sheepington's back and laying eggs in a nest in the barn. They have no plans to wed.

Buster

Buster came to the family September 2004. He was a stray who was found by Beth and Rachel. Buster soon found his place on the farm, following Beth around, chasing the turkeys and greeting visitor. Buster is still a puppy and he is quickly learning how to behave when customers come to the store. So, we ask you, the customer to approach Buster slowly and don't place your hands near his mouth. He will quickly become your friend.

Ohh, by the way, Buster has a girlfriend, it's Amanda and Matt's dog Holly. He loves when Holly comes for the weekend.

Towser the Cattle Dog

Towser is the farm's lead cattle dog. He does everything on the farm from getting the cows in from the pasture to making sure the chickens don't get into the garden. Towser is a purebred border collie. He is very smart, but when he's not being kept busy, he feel the need to get your face and force you to pay attention to him. He is always smiling and ready to greet the visitors. Sometimes he will bark if visitors come to the farm, but that is his way of saying hello. We tell all our visitors to stick their hand out, palm down so he has a chance to "properly" greet them by giving them a little lick.
